Things About Romans 1 and 2

ROMANS OVERVIEW 11/13/2021

Nothing is new  There is nothing new under the sun as Ecclesiastes tells us And the thing that we believe is new is really old and has been seen in many generations But one of the reasons we use the Old Testament in our teaching is that the examples and behaviors of man do not change.

SO AS GOD IS POISED TO BRING ORDER, SO MAN HAS AN APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION AND DISORDER.  So if we teach of a foolish king who lived way before Christ we know that even foolish men and foolish presidents and kings and kings today are alive and well So we can securely use the word of truth The Bible and Christ promises to teach this generation faithfully.

THAT IS THE CHARGE OF EACH GENERATION, TO TEACH.  So what has been shall be again as Ecclesiastes tell us but also we have the psalms and we have the promises of the Lord. In psalm 119 the Lord tells us to hide the word in our heart that we might not sin against him And it begins with a historical and rhetorical question asking how shall a young man cleanse his way? The cry is there for the order that is illusive.

NEW WORLD ORDER  Interesting to note that as God has a plan of personal salvation, Satan drives men as cattle, thru tyranny and addictions.  The shepherd leads and never drives.  His spirit is the opposite.  The Holy Spirit invites you to see by your own voluntary choice, the contrast between the driver and the Good Shepherd who leads us.  We catch this spirit in Psalm 23.

We like understanding God and God's nature by taking what I call a bird's-eye-view of both history and biblical truths.

Answers come by taking heed to the whole council of God, For the council is for our benefit and for our life that we live and not die. Many youth die before they can make a choice for Christ.  The consul for you is the armor. It is the shelter from the storm.  The devil says fight against the storm, but that is foolishness.  We must find the place of safety.  Psalm 91 tells of the secret place.  Why is it secret.  Why must you search to find it.  And find it in a person, rather than the world's philosophy of men.

LEARN FROM NATURE as even primitive man did.  He sees the turtle and see that God himself provided every creature a defense.  A shell.  Did he neglect you as he created man on the 6th day? No. the rock in Christ is the hiding place where you will be safe in God's counsel.

We often forget God has made his defense for you as well as for all of creation.  See the porcupine has his quills and the wolf has his teeth and even the tiny snail has his tiny  house. And better is the house of peace than the world's busy drama that has no rest, as God says in Isaiah 48:22 The wicked have no rest.  Even in the throws of death they are condemned of the Lord.

So our defense grows as God tells us in Psalm 119 that the word is hid in our hearts.  It is where the wise keep the treasure that cannot be purchased.  This is what  protect us from the lies and deceit because any one who is marinated and seeped in the word of God captures that wisdom. And I say captures because you can see that for the foolish, they run to and fro saying peace, peace when there is no peace. And all they can do is lie to you.

I know that we went over this before in our class, but I like to repeat things.  And I get this from Philippians 3:1—onward:  “1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.  2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. 3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.”

So more and more as we learn in the Holy Ghost how to discern the spirits.  And we become sensitive to the two layers of our spiritual sight and seeing is also two kingdoms.  One is of flesh, that for us profits nothing.  And the other is spirit which is life.

TURN TO JOHN 6

John 6:JESUS FEEDS THE THOUSANDS, THEN HIS DISCIPLES ENTER A BOAT AND GO TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SEA. TIBERIUS, GALILEE.

John 6:41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.

42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?  43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.

44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.  45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. 47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. 48 I am that bread of life.

49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.  50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.  56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. 58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. 60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?  61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?

62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? 71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

So Psalm 119 tells us 3 things that are important it's important 1st to hide the word in our heart next to let the word teach us the examples and through experience And what is the 3rd lesson of this scripture and the dimension which we must consider consider? It is the final reward of allowing the word to dwell in us Is that we may teach and declare the word of God to our children and to the next generation inspiration being faithful Is that we plant the seed again in the fall For every man and woman meets their fall season is there fall season where they must give up their own bis their own breath and before they die must plant the seed in the next generation so that they can survive and know the Lord Christ who is the deliverer and the redeemer of all flesh

So like it or not if you are zealous or if you are lukewarm in every case what will follow after you will be who you are Because has in flesh DNA and genetics a engineering's there is also the spirit of what you will plant in those that come after you.

realization is realization that faith can be transplanted in transplanted in others So does Ecclesiastes tell us that that after the plant dies it dies its seed remains and it will Spring again and it will be like the former on the former unto eternity unto good life onto precious church and all good things comes from the mercies of the Lord So in conclusion do not say t that what has been was a landmark day is the landmark day for each day as a landmark And don't say that you have no more fruit to bear that you are dried up and dead because God has a purpose for all things

even those who by their example show is there example show that they are faithful So what has been shall be again as your father's have loved the Lord and have written many words of encouragement and sermons and writings of the past so now take courage grows strong in the Lord and the power of his might for he loves you and has given you great and precious promises whereby you may become partakers of the divine nature of Christ and give many blessings To others and to your family.  Your family who will always receive you, when the world will not.
