This scripture in Isaiah 55:6-13 helps us understand Acts 19 more
fully. The Christians Paul met on the upper coasts of Ephesus had
not received the Holy Ghost yet since they believed in Christ.
Then after prayer they received that vital empowerment.
Acts Chapter 11: JEWISH CHRISTIANS PILE ONTO PETER FOR EATING WITH GENTILES...
“You
went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them!” (WHY IS THE EATING
THING SUCH A BIG DEAL?) The charges against Peter were simple:
“You, who are supposed to be a faithful Jew, associated with Gentiles
and even ate with them.” This offended these Christian Jews, so they
contended with Peter.
